perhaps the "best" Hornsby show may be 09-22-1991...09-16-1991, while not a superb setlist is a great show...

I started with Shoreline 5.10.91 and a nice inspired first set. The long piano rolls Bruce pulls off are classic and a little more melodic or perhaps popish than Keith might have played. I love the textures he produces, seeming to wash over the music like waves. The band seems juiced, and the tempo's are fast and tight.

06-24-91: solid show. second set opens with a very nice china>rider that has great energy and great bruce/jerry play in the transition. one of my favs. it's like bruce is following jerry around like a little puppy before the climax of the transition. Jerry smokes that part too. In fact, I'm going to put it on now; it's been a while.

the 25th is solid too.

04-01-91: nice later period dark star

dicks picks 17

sorry no links, but seriously check out that chinarider

Capt,

try these. there are tons of them but both of these are off the charts. best 2 shows of 1991 IMO.

The 9/22 show that was mentioned is awesome as well. Hornsby is all over the Sugar mag

I think the shows at Richfield on 9/4, 9/5 and 9/6 of 91 are often overlooked from this era. I may be biased, having been there. I like both Sandstone shows and the 8/16-8/18/91 Shoreline for Bruce. Copps 3/20/92 is nice too.
